How to Give a Plain Cardigan A Makeover

I have what might be referred to by some as a "closet full of cardigans".  And most of them are plain, simple sweaters.  Many of which don't get much wear.  Or they get worn so much that I start to get a little bored with them.  Sometimes this gal's heart desires something a little frilly... a little sparkly... a little more embellished.  It was time for a makeover!

Before: plain, simple... boring black cardigan
I picked out a black yarn with some sparkle, and some new buttons
Started by sewing a running straight stitch along the sides of the button plackets
Using those stitches as a foundation row, I worked two double crochet into each stitch
At the end of the row, I worked 3 chain stitches and turned, then worked 2 double crochet into each double crochet of the first row. Fasten off at the end of the row.
Remove plain buttons and sew on new, sparkly buttons.

**Repeat all steps on the other side of cardigan front**
Voila!  New girly black cardigan with a little more frill and a little more sparkle!

Autumn Porch Decor

The Porch is completely decorated for Autumn!  I would like to add a large pumpkin next to the potted mums.  And maybe some sort of cute lantern to go with.  But I'm content with the way it is as of now.
