Deal of the Week: Betty Crocker Muffin Mix

While on a trip to Target (for a completely unrelated item) I found pouches of Betty Crocker Banana Nut Muffin mix - regularly $1.29 each - on clearance for $.36 cents each!

At that price - I bought 10 pouches to stock the pantry.  (and sort of wish I had bought more!)

Summer Relaxation Spot

Once the weather starts turns warm, I am always inspired to spruce up the back deck for some summer time relaxation!

This year, I gave the little table and the plant stands a coat of bright aqua blue spray paint.  I also painted the wooden bench from the front porch yellow and moved it to the back deck for more seating.  The herbs are planted and growing well and the bird feeders are filled.  The deck still needs a good pressure washing and a coat of sealer - but all in good time.

This is my favorite morning spot for quiet time and reading during the summer!  (newly painted table, World Market chairs, lantern from Michael's, mint growing in cow planter)

This bench was previously on the front porch - now painted a pale yellow and providing more seating on the deck.

Oregano, thyme, cilantro, basil, parsley, dill, etc.

Deal of the Week: Almay intense i-color for $.97!

My Walmart usually has the Almay intense i-color line products for $4.97 each.

In this past Sunday paper (6/2/2013) there was coupons for $4 off any Almay cosmetics products.

If you're paying attention you realize that means these little gems are 97 cents each!

Since I had picked up two papers - I scored an eye shadow trio AND matching liner for less than two bucks!

A great deal = a happy me!

Enough With the Rain Already!

If you have been reading/following this blog for any time, you probably already know I have an unusual affection for my clothesline.  (If not, you may want to head HERE first for a little background info)

It has now gotten to the point where I get angry with the weather if it is rainy on the days I want to do wash.  That darn rain is making me use the dryer and it is getting on my last nerve!  Grrrr...

I want my clothes out side to dry!  I want to save the money, not have it sucked up by the electricity the dryer uses!  I want the smell of sunshine on my clothes and towels.

So, STOP IT rain!  Rain, rain - go away!  And don't come back until the laundry is caught up and I don't need to use my clothes line!

Infinity Scarf from Reycyled T-Shirt

I love scarves.  But most of the ones I own are too heavy to wear during summer.  After purchasing a light t-shirt knit scarf last week, my mind started turning.  A little searching online and I was ready to make my own from an old t-shirt.  Crazy easy and much cheaper than buying a new scarf!

I love the pale pink shade of one tank, but it had a stain on the front I couldn't get out. Head over to A Wise Woman Once Said - and see how I made an infinity scarf with it!
I'm guessing you probably have a favorite t-shirt or tank which you love even though it's stretched out or has a stain.  Why not make something cute?
